When things are confusing to me and I feel under stress, I go fishing. That’s just the way that I handle stress. There is something so relaxing about seeing the lure hit the water and playing with it as it sinks to the bottom of the water. Once it hits bottom, I can move with jerky movements or slow deliberate moves that imitate the bait that I am using.
Fishing helps me to calm down and think. Recently I realized, that while I was fishing for bass, someone else was fishing for me. I was like the bass that I was fishing for because I had been pulled in hook line and sinker by debt. That simple realization set me off on a quest that has resulted in a total change in my life.
I had swallowed so much bait, that my credit was reeling me in. It was time to change my ways and fix my credit. The father was taken to police where he was charged for physically assaulting his children. Before the hearing of the father’s case, the children were so afraid to testify against their father. The children could not even find any support from their mother and would have been left on their own if not for the intervention of a volunteer from the Court Appointed Special Advocates.
